Canvas Tote Bag | Mrs Fitzherbert

A sturdy black canvas tote bag featuring a striking gold screen print of Mrs Fitzherbert, illustrated by Sussex artist Malcolm Trollope-Davis.

Inspired by an illustration from our Brighton Map, Mrs Fitzherbert has been hand-drawn in a traditional woodcut style, celebrating one of Brighton's most intriguing historical figures.

Maria Fitzherbert was the longtime companion of George IV, who secretly married her before becoming king. Their marriage was not legally recognised because it did not have the required royal consent. Her story remains an intriguing part of Brighton's history.

Made from heavyweight cotton canvas and screen printed in Sussex, this practical everyday bag has long shoulder handles and a generous gusset. Perfect for shopping, carrying books or everyday essentials.
