Glycerine is naturally produced as a by-product in cold-process soap making and will be in the final product composition for all of these soap bars.
The Raw Soap Company was created in 2014 by Amy & Jim, born from the vision to sustainably use milk from their herd of Anglo-Nubian goats. In addition to drinking the milk daily and making cheeses for their family, the ever increasingly talked about benefits of goats milk soap soon filled their imagination. When combined with locally produced oils and botanicals, Amy & Jim soon realised that they could turn the beautifully creamy goats milk into high quality soaps. Not only are the soaps completely natural, they also support the rural businesses that help supply them.
The Raw Soap Company is based across two locations, in East Sussex where the goats live and in Bristol, where their soap studio is. The small herd of goats browse in the sunshine on a chemical free, herb rich pastures, producing the creamiest and happiest milk, which is used as the basis for all of our traditional cold-process soaps.
Soap Care: It is important to care for your soap properly to prolong its life. As with most handmade soaps they must be kept free-draining in between use to prevent them from becoming too soft. We recommend using a soap deck or a soap dish which doesn’t let your soap sit in any water. The glycerin in a natural soap is hygroscopic (attracts water). If you don’t intend on using your soap immediately, it is best to keep it in a cool and dry place, preferably able to breath.
